Course Description: Are you yearning to go deeper in your watercolor painting? Each workshop of this four-part series is an opportunity to focus on a different motif of landscape watercolor painting. Students will explore various ways to paint a specific subject matter, problem solve, experiment with color, water amounts, and mark making, and how to take a step towards a looser style of painting in watercolor, almost on the brink of abstraction. Let the natural nuances of watercolor guide you as we create luminous and intuitive paintings with harmony yet focus. These classes are open to all levels. Watercolor is the primary medium in these classes, but water-soluble mixed media is also welcome. Students are welcome to sign up for one workshop or more!
Ronna Fujisawa is a long-time watercolor/mixed media painter, educator, and MFA graduate in Applied Craft and Design/OCAC and PNCA.
