Creating luminous and glowing watercolor paintings is a fun and challenging process! Join this basic watercolor class to learn how to layer washes, apply glazes, mix neutral colors, and create subtle transitions that make watercolor so appealing.

In this class, students will learn various techniques to find a natural rhythm with watercolor and mixed media, how to create movement through loose and transparent washes, and how to capture the essence of winter landscapes with soft, disused light, traces of snow, and early winter scenes. We will paint with an intention, leaning towards abstraction, loose brushstrokes, and inspiration from nature. Through painting, students will develop a deeper connection to the landscape and the self, experiencing a meditative process that unlocks their creativity and mind.

Let go of your expectations of the outcome and embrace the creative process. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter, this class is welcoming and provides a space to escape the chaos of daily life. Come join me as we enter a space of stillness and creativity, where painting becomes a form of meditation.

Supply list provided upon registration.

Ideal for beginners and intermediate watercolor students.
